My husband, Wesley, does all of our training here at Bar R Farm.
He does all kinds of ground work: leading, driving, flexing
exercises, lunge work, & desensitizing. He gets them used to having their feet picked up, ropes thrown around and under
them, saddling and unsaddling, bits in and out of the mouth, bathing, fly spray, tying, & trailering basics. All
horses start off in the round pen and then he moves out into the "real" world from there. We get them started for being an
all-around horse, one you can take anywhere.
We do ask that any horse you would like us to start at
least be halter broke. It just makes things start off a little better.
